Kids Feeding Kids Fundraiser
When you eat at Jack’s Place on November 11 between the hours of 8:00am and 7:00pm 20% of the proceeds from your food order go to support the Kids Feeding Kids Fundraiser. Bring a canned food item to donate in support of local families and enjoy a classic Car Cruise-in. You must bring a copy of the flier with you to the restaurant.
ALSO, JUST LEARNED THAT OUR LOCAL Lakes and Valleys Art Guild wishes to sponsor this event as well and will contribute 5% of store items purchased toward Kids Feeding Kids. Just how did we get so lucky????? Life is good and God is GREAT!!!! So if you patronize this fundraising event on November 11th, kindly purchase something special (remembering that Christmas w/b just around the corner) ~~~ KFK will greatly appreciate it AND SO WILL SERTOMA.
Why WE Choose to Support and Feed the Less Fortunate in the Antelope Valley
Kids Feeding Kids is a special and dedicated program that helps feed the hungry right here in our community, by providing a healthy source of “farm to table” protein that is raised right here in the Antelope Valley. The meat is then gifted to SAVES and the Grace Resource Center. The above food banks receive the meat, and use it to fortify their freezers during the winter months. Definition of the SAVES Program: Skills for Academics – Vocational and English Studies. An offered range of Federally funded academic courses to qualified refugees, asylees and paroles.
Approximately 70% of the families receiving this food have school-aged children with the highest level of food insecurities in the LA County area. Through the participation of 4-H, Future Farmers of America and Grange, Kids Feeding Kids make certain that the families are provided fresh, year round meat / protein.
Through the Antelope Valley Fair and Alfalfa Festival Junior Livestock Auction, animals are raised by our local youth, sold and then donated back to the program. Our donations help pay for the expense of raising, processing the animals and transporting them to their location to help hungry families regarding the “food to table” giving program which is an extension of the Friends of the Antelope Valley Fair non-profit organization.
Folks, this is a “win – win” program that WE ALL should be proud to support.

AND the Kids Feeding Kids program all say “Thank You” for your loyalty to our local communities.
